Deniz Tek, who was born in Ann Arbor in 1952, moved to Australia when he was 20 to attend the University of New South Wales.  When he wasn’t recording and touring with a number of different bands, he was attending medical school and working as a Navy flight surgeon and ER doctor.

“Perfect World” was released in 2013 on his solo album, Detroit.
